Framing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A picture frame is a container added to a picture in order to enhance it, make it easier to display or, in some cases, to protect it.

From Encyclopedia Britannica
Mounting assemblage designed to protect, display, and often enhance a painting, drawing, photograph, or other visual representation.

What Custom Framing is, what it really is, is the design and fabrication of a showcase. The job of that showcase is to present and protect the revered object that it contains, whether its fine art, photography or Aunt Millieâ™s antique doily. The most important aspect of custom framing is its design. The design should be objective and not subjective. It should go without saying that custom framing should be either conservation grade (all acid free, with UV filtering glass) or at least archivally responsible. At The Garden Gallery all of our custom framing is done to these standards.
