The Garden Gallery ยป Charles W. Andrews
Charles has been a practicing artist/craftsman all his adult life, and has extensive experience in using various materials and fabrication techniques including metal fabrication, wood, polyester resins and ceramics. Charles is also technical, design and conservation consultant to artists, museums and corporations regarding fabrication, display, framing, and archival protection of art works.
For the last thirtytwo years, Charles has owned and operated The Garden Gallery, founded the Carlisle Arts Learning Center, the Carlisle Arts & Antiques Council and served on various boards in Carlisle.
Artists Statement:
"I love working with clay because it is so literal. Most of the work that you do with clay comes directly from your hands, as well as being very sensuous and tactile. Although I like to make functional forms that are also beautiful, I especially love making whimsical nonfunctional forms."
